Description
Overlapping planes and soft geometry move across the surface of Subdued Motion Canvas, a giclee on linen that keeps the weave of the cloth visible through the image. The shapes never quite resolve into objects, which lets the piece work as color and structure rather than subject. Hang it vertically or horizontally the composition reads either way, making it unusually adaptable for a large wall or an awkward proportion. Mounted on wood in a stepped profile frame and finished without glass, the surface is seen directly, with no reflection across the full sweep of the artwork.
