Description
An arched niche holds an overflowing arrangement of blooms in Orchids in Niche Canvas, a gallery-wrapped canvas finished by hand with painted detail and applied leafing at the edges. The architectural setting frames the flowers within the artwork itself, which gives the composition structure a loose bouquet would not have. Without a frame, the piece reads as a clean rectangle on the wall easy to place in an entry, dining room or bedroom, and easy to live alongside other framed work. The leafed sides carry the finish around the edge, so the canvas looks resolved from every angle.
