Description
A gathering of long-legged cranes stretches the full panoramic width of Curious Cranes Canvas, each bird given its own posture and personality. Some stand, some lean, some turn to face one another, so the composition has the incident of a crowd rather than the repetition of a pattern. The extreme horizontal proportion is built for the wall above a sofa, bed or long sideboard, where nothing else quite fits. Mounted in a floater frame with the canvas edge visible and finished without glass, it stays clean and contemporary at a scale where reflection would be a problem.
