Description
A dark mass folds against pale strata in Carved by Time I Canvas, the forms reading like a cross-section cut through stone. The composition is weighted to one side, with the banding opening out from it across the rest of the field. Printed on metallic canvas and built up with hand-applied acrylic gel, the surface shifts as light moves across it through the day. Squared and substantial in a floater frame with a linen-wrapped liner and no glass, it is unmistakably a statement piece.
