Description
Full, round blooms crowd a patterned vessel in Bouquet of Orange Canvas, painted with enough brush energy to keep a simple still life from sitting still. The vase is treated as flatly decorative while the flowers are worked in thick, visible strokes, and that contrast is what gives the piece its lift. The square format and generous scale make it a natural single hang above a sideboard, mantel or bed. Canvas mounted on wood and framed to the image, with an embossed molding finishing the edge and no glass to flatten the surface.
