Description
A lone drake stands among spring wildflowers in The White Drake Framed Art, painted with a farmhouse warmth that stops short of sentimentality. The bird is set low in the frame with the meadow rising behind it, which gives an everyday subject a surprising amount of composure. Framed to the image with no mat, the scene fills its opening for a full, immediate presentation. The horizontal format suits a kitchen, breakfast room, mudroom or hallway where a taller piece would not fit.
