Description
Dense treetop canopy runs the full length of both panels in Scenic Scenes I Framed Art, drawn with the flattened, layered detail of classic toile. Leaves and branches fill the whole field with no clear focal point, so the panels read as continuous pattern rather than as scenes. The long, low proportion solves the awkward wall above a headboard, doorway or run of cabinetry. Framed to the image without a mat, the pair reads as two sections of a single decorative frieze.
