Description
A peacock trails its full tail across the width of Peacock Paradise I Framed Art, set among flowering branches in the flattened, decorative manner of painted chinoiserie. The bird stands rather than perches, so the tail sweeps horizontally and fills the lower half of the composition. The piece reads as pattern from across the room and reveals fine detail up close useful in an entry, dining room or beside a bed. Matting and a flat-profile wood frame keep the busy imagery composed.
