Description
Country houses sit among mature trees in Country House Framed Art, a watercolor pair with the loose, unlabored quality of a sketchbook page. Roofs and walls are suggested with a few strokes and the foliage is barely resolved, which is what keeps the scenes from feeling like postcards. The two hang well together in a hallway, guest room or breakfast area, where their modest scale suits the space better than a single large piece. Matting and a beveled molding with fine detailing give the pair a tidy finish.
