Description
Flat-topped umbels spread across the upper half of Botanical Sketch III Framed Art, the tall stems drawn with a draftsman's restraint and annotated below. The horizontal spread of the flower heads gives this plate a different balance from its more upright companions, filling the width where they fill the height. Float mounting on a hand-wrapped fabric mat adds depth behind the glass and sets the sheet apart from its patterned ground. A stepped wood frame completes a library-shelf presentation.
