Born in Tahiti, raised in Ivory Coast and France, Christophe Badarello has been an industrial design director with over 25 years of experience.
He began his design career in Paris, designing perfume bottles for L'Oréal, Dior, Yves St. Laurent, Lancôme, Clinique, Baccarat, Obrey, and Estee Lauder for D Estelle.
Since then, he has led design teams in Boston, Chicago, and Memphis. As Director of Product Development & Design at Syratech, he developed dinnerware, flatware, and tableware for companies including Victoria and Albert Museum, The Vatican, Polaroid, Farberware, Faberge, Disney, Hasbro, Mattel, and Warner Brothers. As Director of Design at Wilton Industries, he directed and managed the design and/or redesign of Weston Galleries’ entire product line of over 900 house wares distributed to such companies as Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Michael’s, Linens ‘N Things, and K-Mart.
For fifteen years, as Director of Industrial Design at Hunter Fan Company, he has been responsible for the design of all product lines including Hunter, Casablanca, Hunter Prestige, and Home Environment. He also designs furniture incorporating reclaimed wood and steel under his design labels, like ABC carpet in NY and Cisco Brothers in LA.
