Solvay begins with a clear glass base into which our artisans have infused warn amber at the base of his body and behind his head to define his shape. A multitude of black, white, and silver swirls throughout her body gives our feline friend added texture and visual interest. Solvay is handcrafted of Favrile art glass which was first developed by L.C. Tiffany in the late Nineteenth Century. The Favrile process embeds the color into the glass itself, which can cause slight variations in color and texture. This means that no 2 pieces are exactly alike.
